Fears & Phobias - Suggestion Therapy

A phobia is a 'very powerful type of fear', an external symbol of an internal and subconscious anxiety. The anxiety is 'projected' onto an object or situation and often creates feelings of intense panic or feeling out of control.

Fear is a natural reaction to dangerous situations and it ensures self-preservation of ones self and even the species as a whole. When the feelings or bodily effects of fear are aroused unduly, unnecessarily, or over a prolonged period then these 'symptoms' work against the individual.

A panic attack is an unpleasant experience which can include sensations such as a pounding heart, shortness of breath, hot or cold sweats, chest pain, shaking, dizziness, nausea, choking and produces a fear pending danger or even dying. However for people suffering from phobias this can be an all too common, even daily, experience.

There are literally hundreds of phobias and it is often comforting to know that you are not alone in these experiences because if it has a name someone else has suffered from it! Phobias are almost always indirect - meaning that they are usually indirectly linked to an unresolved emotional conflict from childhood.

If person finds themselves in a situation in younger years which they find creates intense emotions, the persons 'psyche' has the ability to bottle up those emotions; that is to repress them or hide them away. Once those emotions have been bottled up, the psyche can create a phobia. It does this to prevent the individual from getting into that situation again.

Using Analytical Hypnotherapy (Hypnoanalysis), a special type of hypnotherapy over a few weeks, it is possible to find the originating cause of the Phobia, Anxiety or Panic Attacks and resolve it completely and permanently. On doing this one usually observes an improvement in other areas of their life such as a general reduction in stress levels, a more relaxed approach to life, an inner calmness, and a general feeling of being more in control.
